good fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have had it for about a month. installation was a bit trickery due to my vent hole location. but installer figured out the issue and modified my cabinet.....it cost me more! , but it is good now. overall a good riser fan. working good so far.

Good workmanship & very good design.

Stopped working, won't stay in up position

Worked for maybe a year or so but now it won't stay in the up position.I had an appliance mechanic on and after several hours, he can't fix it. It'll have to go in the trash because I'm not throwing any more money away trying to fix it. Piece of junk.

Great Downdraft!

Expensive and not very useful

This isn't worth the money. It was my only option to vent my cooktop but it doesn't pull the steam so it just rises and fogs the window.

Trust in KA Quality Restored

Kitchenaid not what it used to be

New and Improved!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The motor in the Old downdraft ventilation system failed which necessitated the replacement unit since the mtor for the old unit was no longer produced/avalable. New unit fit into dimensions of the countertop exactly Motor and fan unit was a little larger than the old unit, which took a little more space in the cabinet. However, the unit sticks up a little taller when activated and the fan is much stronger, so the end result is very positive!!

Has 3 speed for fan which is very useful

Retractable Vent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The vent is not made as well as one would expect from KitchenAid. The plastic button to retract and raise the vent is cheap and gets stuck. Very flimsy. Causing the vent to go up and down until you straighten out the button.

Pop up button needs improvement.
